TrustGraph Empowers AI Agents with Model Context Protocol (MCP) Support in Version 1.1

SAN FRANCISCO, CA – July 17, 2025 – TrustGraph, the open-source scale platform for enterprise AI, today announced the release of version 1.1, a milestone update that significantly advances the capabilities of its AI agents. The new version introduces full support for the Model Context Protocol (MCP), an open standard that allows TrustGraph agents to connect with and utilize external tools, transforming them from passive knowledge retrievers into active, task-oriented systems.

This pivotal update enables AI agents built on TrustGraph to perform complex, multi-step workflows that combine deep contextual understanding from enterprise knowledge graphs with real-time data and actions from external services. With MCP, developers can easily extend their agents with custom tools, allowing them to perform tasks like fetching dynamic information or interacting with any external API.

“This isn't just an integration; it's a new architectural standard for enterprise AI. Our LLM-enhanced knowledge graphs act as the platform’s intelligent brain, and through MCP, we've given it hands to interact with the world. The crucial link is our rock-solid data engineering foundation built on Pulsar, which acts as the nervous system. With fully automated configuration and deployment, we can deliver this entire, cohesive capability seamlessly and at scale.” said Mark Adams, CoFounder of TrustGraph.

TrustGraph’s core strength lies in its ability to build interconnected Knowledge Graphs from fragmented enterprise data, grounding AI responses and dramatically reducing hallucinations. With the integration of MCP, agents can now leverage this robust internal context to make more intelligent decisions when using external tools. For example, an agent can now answer a complex query like, "Given the surveillance capabilities described in our research documents and my current bank balance, what privacy measures could I afford?" by seamlessly querying both its internal knowledge graph and an external MCP tool for financial data.

Key features in TrustGraph v1.1 include:

  • Full Model Context Protocol (MCP) Integration: Easily connect TrustGraph agents to any MCP-compliant tool or service, enabling interaction with external APIs, databases, and systems.

  • Advanced Agentic Workflows: Build sophisticated agents that can analyze a user's request, select the appropriate combination of internal knowledge and external tools, and synthesize the information to provide a comprehensive answer or complete a task.

  • Seamless Knowledge Graph and Tool Synergy: Agents can now fluidly combine facts and relationships from their internal knowledge graph with real-time data from external tools, leading to more accurate and contextually-aware outcomes.

  • Open Standard for Custom Tools: Empower developers to create and integrate their own custom tools using the open MCP standard, ensuring flexibility and preventing vendor lock-in.

The new capabilities are available immediately and are detailed in the new MCP Integration guide in the TrustGraph documentation.
